Job Summary

The Department of Physics at Gonzaga University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in fall of 2018. The successful candidate will show a clear promise for developing and teaching innovative undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses across the curriculum in a liberal arts environment. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out a research program, involving undergraduates in this work when possible. Women and minority candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physics, or closely related field. ABD considered, with the expectation the candidate will be degree in hand by August 1, 2018
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, interest in student advising, and an ongoing scholarly agenda
• At least one year of teaching experience, which may include teaching assistant work
